Rubina clinched the bronze medal at the Paralympic Games where she finished third and bagged a bronze medal in the P2 Women’s 10M Air Pistol SH-1 final on Saturday.
Following Rubina’s monumental achievement, her father Simon Francis said that they are very happy and preparing for a grand welcome when she returns from Paris.
“We are very happy…Not only the family, but the whole of Jabalpur and India are happy and proud… Now we are celebrating with our close family members, but once she arrives, we will plan for a grand celebration,” Francis told ANI.
She gathered a total of 211.1 points in the final of the ongoing marquee event. Javanmardi Sareh of Iran finished with gold (236.8 points) and Turkey’s Ozgan Aysel went on to win the silver medal (231.1 points).
