New Delhi [India], August 24 (ANI): Two bike-borne assailants opened fire at a sweets shop in Delhi’s Tilak Nagar area, police said on Saturday.
According to officials, the incident occurred at around 11:15 pm on Friday when unknown persons fired bullets at Singla’s Sweets shop. The bullets hit the front glass of the shop.
Following information, the crime team and the district operations unit responded immediately and arrived at the spot.
Delhi Police said that an FIR has been filed under relevant provisions of law, and an investigation is underway.
As per preliminary investigation, two persons had come on a bike, fired multiple shots at the shop’s front glass, and then fled the spot on the same bike, officials said.
Four empty cartridges were recovered from the spot.
“No person has been hit by the bullets,” they said.
They also added that multiple teams have been formed to gather information and check the assailants’ route.
Further details are awaited. (ANI)
