New Delhi [India], May 14 (ANI): Noting that the policy of zero tolerance against terrorism and of Nation First are part Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve, Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has said that if anyone casts evil eye on India, “naya Bharat ghar mein ghus kar maarega”.
Shekhawat told ANI that India has made it clear that there will be no third party mediation on issues related to Jammu and Kashmir and the only matter to be discussed with Pakistan is its vacating the Indian territory under its illegal control.
Referring to Operation Sindoor and Indian Armed Forces effectively repelling subsequent aggression by Pakistan, the Union Minister said those working against India will not dare to do so even in their dreams
“The policy of zero tolerance against terrorism and the policy of nation first are parts of PM Modi’s work culture, the entire country and world know this. Those who cast an evil eye on India and any activity against India – be it from the soil of India or operated from somewhere outside India, ye naya Bharat ghar mein ghus kar maarega. It won’t tolerate this. Surgical strike, air strike and then precision strike…the way in which Pakistan was given a befitting reply, Pakistan bent on the knees and sought ceasefire… PM’s message that there will be no mediation by anyone and there won’t be any talk on any matter besides PoK, I think this is the strongest reply by India in decades,” Shekhawat told ANI.
“I believe that the manner in which action has been taken against terrorists and the message that India has sent across, those who are working against India will not dare to do so even in their dreams,” he added.
Shekhawat was answering a question on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Adampur airbase on Tuesday.
India launched Operation Sindoor and carried out precise strikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in response to Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 people were killed.
Indian Armed Forces also repelled subsequent Pakistani aggression and pounded its airports.
India and Pakistan have now agreed to stop military action and firing following call made by Pakistan DGMO to his Indian counterpart.
Shekhawat also spoke about India’s decision to keep Indus Waters Treaty in abeyance, which was among a series of measures taken to take a strong message to Pakistan over its support to cross-border terrorism.
He referred to PM Modi’s remarks that “blood and water won’t flow together”.
“In his address to the nation, the day before yesterday too, PM Modi said that blood and water won’t flow together…Despite 1965 war, 1971 war and Kargil war, India honoured the treaty. But now, the message is clear – now India won’t compromise over this. Now, India’s interests won’t be toyed with. Indus Water Treaty has been suspended. We have stopped data sharing with them. Every drop of India’s share of water will stay in India. Government is committed to this,” Shekhawat said. (ANI)
