Taipei [Taiwan], October 29 (ANI): Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defence (MND) reported an increase in Chinese military activity around its territory on Wednesday, with 25 PLA aircraft sorties and 5 PLAN vessels operating till 6 am (local time) today.
In a post on X, the MND stated that 23 of the 25 sorties crossed the median line and entered the country’s northern and southwestern Air Defence Identification Zones (ADIZs).

Earlier on Tuesday, Taiwan’s MND reported that it recorded 10 PLA aircraft sorties and 5 PLAN vessels operating around its territory.
A post on X said that 8 of the 10 sorties crossed the median line and entered its northern and southwestern ADIZ.

The new draft seeks to address this shortfall by allowing early intervention, including suspension from duty, to mitigate potential damage. The bill has passed its first reading and has been referred to the Foreign Affairs and National Defence Committee for further deliberation, as cited by The Taipei Times.
