Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], September 29 (ANI): After the decision taken by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami towards land law, the government has intensified action against those who buy and sell land illegally in the state, stated the Uttarakhand CMO.
State Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal, while clarifying the situation regarding land law, said that the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is serious about land law. Action will be taken against those who have bought land here and are not using it for the purpose for which the land has been purchased and the land will be vested in the state government.
Apart from this, those who have violated the rules by buying more than 250 square metres of land in a family, their additional land will also be vested in the state government, stated the Uttarakhand CMO.
State Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal said that whatever reforms are required in the land law in the interest of the state, efforts will be made, but for this, the citizens of the state will also have to become aware and become a part of the government. He appealed to the people of the state and said that the people of the state should preserve their ancestral land and not sell it.
The State Forest Minister clarified that whatever amendments have been made to the land law in the past and have not yielded the expected results, there will be no hesitation in amending them as per public sentiments. He said that every possible step is being taken to protect the rights of the people of the state. The future land law of the state is being prepared with this thought.
It is worth noting that the Chief Minister has taken a decision to take action at many levels regarding the land law and to implement the land law in accordance with the public sentiments of the state in the next budget session. The state government has constituted the Subhash Kumar Committee. Along with this, the committee constituted under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Radha Raturi to prepare the draft of the land law is studying the suggestions, holding meetings to implement them, and finalising them.
