New Delhi [India], October 15 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party President JP Nadda on Tuesday appointed Odisha’s Kendrapada MP Baijayant Panda as the party election in-charge for the upcoming Delhi Assembly Elections.
Atul Garg has been appointed as co-in-charge for the Delhi Assembly Elections. This appointment will be effective immediately, a letter issued by BJP’s national general secretary Arun Singh stated.
Earlier in September, Atishi took oath as Delhi Chief Minister following the resignation of Arvind Kejriwal. Atishi became the third woman Chief Minister of Delhi, following Sushma Swaraj and Sheila Dikshit.
There have been differences between the AAP government and Delhi LG Vinai Kumar Saxena over a range of issues.
Assembly polls in Delhi are expected to be held in early 2025. Congress could not win a single seat in the Delhi assembly polls held in 2020. While AAP won 62 out of the 70 seats, BJP secured eighth seats in the last assembly polls. (ANI)
