Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], August 4 (ANI): On the occasion of the 51st foundation day of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that after the Prime Minister took charge of the country for the third time, many efforts are being made to take the country’s economy to third place from fifth position, where the company secretaries can contribute more.
While addressing an event in Ahmedabad on Sunday, Patel said that if any company moves forward continuously and pays tax regularly, then the country benefits from it.
He said that today all the citizens of the country realised one thing that after the country’s economy came to the fifth position, even the smallest man in the country has moved forward, so now everyone has to contribute to take this economy to the third position.
Speaking on the success of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, Patel said that the biggest benefit to Gujarat from the Vibrant Gujarat Summit was that today, out of the 500 big companies of the country, about 100 are in Gujarat.
On the matter of global competition, CM Patel said that today the central and state governments had been emphasising the quality of everything. He further stated that every company should also emphasise what can be done for global competition and urged them to change ‘Make in India’ to ‘Made in India’.
Speaking on GST, Patel said that the GST revenue of Rs 1.88 lakh crore had been received in April, which is going to prove useful for the development of the country. All facilities are being made available to the public under the Ease of Doing Business policy.
He further added that PM Modi had allocated a budget of Rs 48 lakh crore to the country, according to every sector, in a planned manner.
Patel expressed his confidence that the budget would prove to be a budget that would lay a strong foundation for the development of the country.
Taking to X, Patel said, “A programme organised on the occasion of the 51st foundation day of the Ahmedabad Chapter of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) provided an opportunity to interact with leading company secretaries…Under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi, India is moving towards becoming the third largest economy in the world. company secretaries will play a very important role in realising this goal and in building a developed India…Following the success of the Vibrant Summit in Gujarat and the ‘Ease of Doing Business’ policy of the government, investors from all over the world have become ready to invest in Gujarat on this occasion…” (ANI)
