New Delhi [India], September 24 (ANI): After taking charge as Chief Minister of Delhi, Atishi held a meeting with cabinet ministers and department heads to emphasise a collaborative approach and stressed the importance of ensuring that government facilities reach all the citizens in an effective manner.
Atishi said that this focus on teamwork among officials aims to enhance service delivery and improve the overall quality of life for residents in the capital.
Cabinet ministers including Gopal Rai, Kailash Gahlot, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Imran Hussain, and Mukesh Ahlawat were present, along with Chief Secretary Dharmendra and all department heads of the government.
While speaking at the occasion, Chief Minister Atishi said, “The Delhi government and the officials stationed in Delhi are fully accountable to the people. We all rely on the taxes paid by the people of Delhi, so it is our responsibility to work towards providing them with the best possible services and to fulfill our responsibilities with complete integrity.”
The Delhi Chief Minister affirmed, “As a government, it is our duty to ensure that government services reach even the last person in line and that the government lives up to their expectations. In this regard, the Delhi government and officials will work together to ensure that every person in need receives government services and can live with dignity.”
CM Atishi told the officials, “The work of officials has a significant impact on the lives of the people of Delhi. Therefore, it is the responsibility of all officials to work for the betterment of the people of Delhi. As a government, we will provide full support to the officials.”
CM Atishi shared a few snippets from this meeting on her ‘X’ handle, stating: “After assuming charge as Chief Minister, today I held a meeting with all the cabinet colleagues and heads of departments of Delhi Government.”
“As a government, our accountability is towards the people of Delhi. In such a situation, with the cooperation of all the officials, we will work together to provide better facilities to the people of Delhi and fulfill the vision of Arvind Kejriwal ji,” affirmed the Delhi CM in her post.
After assuming charge as the Delhi Chief Minister, Atishi offered prayers at the ancient Hanuman temple in Connaught Place on Tuesday.
The newly elected Chief Minister emphasised her wish for the AAP supremo, Arvind Kejriwal, to take over the chief ministerial position once again, post the elections in the national capital.
Atishi expressed gratitude towards the almighty for “saving” the AAP for the past “two years,” in which key leaders of the Aam Aadmi party, including former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, and AAP MLA Satyendar Jain, were put behind the bars for facing charges in the liquor policy scam.
In a post on X, Atishi wrote, “Took blessings of Hanumanji at the ancient Hanuman temple located at Connaught Place. In the last 2 years, many conspiracies were hatched against the Aam Aadmi Party, the Delhi government, the people of Delhi and our leader, Arvind Kejriwal. But Hanumanji protected us from every crisis. This is my prayer to Sankat Mochan that his blessings always remain on all of us, we keep working for the people of Delhi and after the upcoming elections, once again Arvind Kejriwal ji becomes the Chief Minister of Delhi.”
During her visit, Atishi emphasised the challenges faced by AAP, mentioning ongoing attacks against the party and its leadership.
Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi assumed charge as Delhi Chief Minister on Monday. Atishi took oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi on September 22 after she was named successor to the post by AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal earlier this week. (ANI)
