New Delhi [India], September 21 (ANI): Congress leader Danish Ali on Saturday lashed out against Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu over his alleged remarks against the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha,, Rahul Gandhi.
“On this day last year, BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri abused me in the Lok Sabha. He called me a terrorist. Now that growth rate has increased. Now Union Ministers in the Modi government are abusing the Leader of the Opposition, calling him a terrorist,” Danish Ali told ANI.
He added, “…Ravneet Singh Bittu ji , Congress made you Lok Sabha MP for three times. I remember you used to call Sonia Gandhi as mummy ji.. Would you spare some shame? What pressure is there from BJP-RSS that, to prove your loyalty, you have to daily abuse the LoP and his family who sacrificed their lives for the nation?”
Meanwhile, an FIR has been registered against Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu for his alleged remarks against Rahul Gandhi over the statements the latter made in the US regarding Sikhs, police said on Thursday.
The Minister of State for Railways had said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is not an Indian and if there should be an award to catch the number one terrorist, it should be on the Congress leader.
The case was filed at High Grounds police station, Bengaluru based on a complaint by one of the officer-bearers of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee.
The BJP leader attacked the Lok Sabha LoP for his remarks on Sikhs during his US visit and said that the Leader of Opposition does not love his country.
“Rahul Gandhi is not an Indian, he has spent most of his time outside. He does not love his country much because he goes abroad and says everything in the wrong way. The people who are most wanted, separatists, and experts in making bombs, guns, and shells, have appreciated what Rahul Gandhi has said. The enemies of the country who try to blow up planes, trains, and roads, are in support of Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi is the country’s number one terrorist. The biggest enemy of the country whom the agencies should catch is Rahul Gandhi today,” he said earlier.
“Rahul Gandhi will not become a terrorist because of your statement. The people of the country know about your mentality, your intelligence, your knowledge, and how ungrateful a man is,” he added.
Speaking in Virginia, US, the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha said that fight is about whether a Sikh, is going to be allowed to wear a turban in India and would be able to visit a Gurdwara.
“First of all, you have to understand what the fight is about. Fight is not about politics. It is superficial. What is your name? The fight is about whether…he as a Sikh is going to be allowed to wear his turban in India. Or he as a Sikh is going to be allowed to wear a kada in India. Or a Sikh is going to be able to go to Gurdwara. That’s what the fight is about and not just for him, for all religions,” he said. (ANI)
