Patna (Bihar) [India], January 27 (ANI): Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Misa Bharti on Monday expressed confidence that the INDIA bloc will form the government in Bihar in the upcoming Assembly elections.
Speaking with ANI, Bharti emphasised that the RJD and the INDIA bloc stand with the people, addressing issues such as unemployment, inflation, and providing government jobs.
“I am confident that the INDIA bloc government will be formed in Bihar,” Bharti said.
She highlighted several promises made by the INDIA Bloc, including providing 200 units of free electricity, increasing the pension for senior citizens from Rs 400 to Rs 1,500, and reducing the cost of gas cylinders from Rs 1,200 to Rs 500. Additionally, the Bloc plans to provide financial assistance of Rs 2,500 to women.
“Whether it is unemployment or inflation, we are with the people’s issues. Tejashwi fulfilled his promise of providing government jobs on time. He took the initiative to distribute appointment letters from the hands of the Chief Minister. Now, there is talk of smart meters, and we have promised that if our government gets the opportunity, we will provide 200 units of free electricity,” she said.
“The current government is providing a pension of 400 rupees for senior citizens, but we will increase it to 1500 rupees. The gas cylinder, which the government is providing for 1200 rupees, will be reduced to 500 rupees. The most important thing is that we will provide financial assistance of 2500 rupees to women, which will help them in their small tasks,” Misa Bharti added.
Bharti also criticized the current government, stating that the INDIA bloc will put an end to practices such as students being beaten with sticks.
“In the cold season, students are doused with cold water and beaten with sticks. All of this will stop, and we will have a people’s government,” she added.
Meanwhile, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday reacted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Bihar, saying that the elections are approaching, and every day, someone will visit the state, making tall claims that will be forgotten after the elections.
“Elections are about to be held in Bihar. Every day someone or the other will come to Bihar. These people are not concerned with Bihar’s progress and development, they are only concerned with elections. Why has Bihar not been given the status of a special state till now? Why was a special package not given? There will be tall claims till the elections and after that, everything will be forgotten,” Yadav said while speaking to the media.
Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan informed on Friday that PM Modi will visit Bihar on February 24 in Bhagalpur for the distribution of Krishi Samman Nidhi. (ANI)
