According to officials, the central government swiftly responded to the devastating floods in Tripura with significant assistance, demonstrating unwavering commitment to the state’s people. Union Home Minister Amit Shah coordinated the relief efforts, facilitated mobilizing resources and has been constantly monitoring the situation along with the state administration.
The Centre has sanctioned Rs 40 crore for the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) to expedite relief work. Additionally, 11 teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Three Indian Army columns and Four helicopters of the Indian Air Force have been deployed to provide critical assistance in rescue and relief operations in the state.
