Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh) [India], September 13 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday expressed shock and grief over the death of seven people in a bus accident on Mogali ghat road in Chittoor district.
The Chief Minister took stock of the situation and enquired about the relief measures and medical aid being provided to the victims.
He instructed officials to ensure proper medical treatment for the injured and also offered his condolences to the families of the deceased.
CM Naidu also assured the government would provide all necessary support to the families of the victims.
At least seven passengers were killed and several others were injured after an Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus collided with a truck on Mogali ghat road in Chitoor on Friday, police said.
The bus was travelling from Tirupati to Bengaluru when the accident occurred. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital and admitted there.
