Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], October 22 (ANI): An Indian Administration Service (IAS) officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre, Shailbala Martin has sparked a controversy after commenting on the use of loudspeakers in temples over her social media handle.
Reacting to a post of a journalist on X about the DJ playing and loudspeaker at mosques, Martin wrote, “The loudspeakers installed on temples, which spread noise pollution through speakers far away in various lanes, which play till midnight, do not disturb anyone?”
Meanwhile, responding to IAS Martin’s remark, Congress leader and MP Congress media head, Mukesh Nayak said that she spoke about equal rights for everyone, and the Constitution of India also states the same.
“She is an Indian Administrative Service officer and said that everyone should get rights equally and the Constitution of India also says the same,” Nayak told ANI.
On the other hand, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and state media in charge, Ashish Agarwal told ANI, “There is a BJP government in Madhya Pradesh and only the rule of law prevails in the BJP government. Any kind of noise pollution is seen from a single perspective. The question should be asked to the Indi Alliance government where loudspeakers are removed on the basis of colour and religion.”
The BJP leader further said that be it IAS officers or administrative officers, they have to follow some manual and they should make comments or share views on social media according to it.(ANI)
