Sonipat (Haryana) [India], September 26 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Thursday targeted Congress in Haryana and said that before 2014, everyone knew about corruption and scandals, but after it, people witnessed control over corruption.
Addressing a public gathering in support of BJP candidate Krishna Gehlawat at the community hall of the Rai Assembly constituency, CM Bhajanlal said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has enhanced farmers’ respect through his schemes.
The Rajasthan Chief Minister stated that before 2014, during Congress’ rule, everyone knew about the corruption and scandals that plagued the country.
“However, after 2014, people witnessed control over corruption. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has enhanced farmers’ respect through schemes like the Kisan Samman Nidhi and Credit Card Scheme,” he said.
He pointed out that when Congress ruled Rajasthan, farmers’ millet was sold at Rs. 1200 to 1300 per quintal, whereas, under the BJP government in Haryana, millet was sold for more than Rs. 2200 per quintal.
CM Sharma highlighted that since 2014, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has seen welfare schemes for the poor, development projects, the eradication of terrorism and naxalism, and an increase in India’s global prestige.
“Before 2014, bomb blasts at bus stations, railway stations, and crowded places were common. Now, under the Prime Minister’s leadership, terrorism, and enemy nations are being given a strong response. The Prime Minister’s powerful politics has forced leaders of the opposition to wear the ‘Janeu’ (sacred thread) over their kurtas. Opposition parties have had to change their political stance,” he added.
CM Bhajanlal, further urged people to look at Congress’ past manifestos and see how they made false promises to the public.
“Leaders like Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Dr. Manmohan Singh, and Rahul Gandhi all gave the slogan of removing poverty, but they never had any real connection with the poor. Congress never supported the poor, farmers, or labourers. Instead, it has supported divisive forces. Rahul Gandhi should clarify his relationship with groups that work to divide the country,” the Rajasthan CM said.
CM Bhajanlal Sharma emphasised that the Bharatiya Janata Party is not a party based on caste, dynasty, or family, but it is the people’s party.
“Congress has never worked for the welfare of SC-ST communities and even worked to defeat Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in elections. Congress has always played the politics of appeasement and never implemented the One Rank-One Pension scheme. However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has implemented it. The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Mission) was launched by him. The “Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao” (Save the Girl Child, Educate the Girl Child) campaign was also started in the land of Haryana,” he said. (ANI)
