Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh) [India], September 23 (ANI): Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) is conducting its day long apex body meeting at Sri Lalita Peetam, Vashishtashramam in Tirupati on Monday to discuss the controversy surrounding Tirupati laddus and demand for “freeing” temples across the country, among other issues.
Kendriya Margadarshak Mandal meeting of Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) is underway at Sri Lalita Peetam, Vashishtashramam, Srinivasa Mangapuram in Tirupati. Bajrang Bagra, secretary general of Vishva Hindu Parishad, is also taking part in the meeting.

Bagra said on Sunday that in this meeting, various challenges facing Hindu society will be discussed and some decisions will be taken about their solutions, mainly about the role of saints in those solutions.
He also said that there will be a discussion about the kind of misconceptions and worrying news regarding Prasad in Tirupati Balaji temple, which is causing great distress to the entire Hindu society.
“In this regard, there is also a possibility of discussion on the role of revered saints and what kind of program should be carried out under their leadership,” Bagra said.
Earlier, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) National Spokesperson Vinod Bansal on Sunday responded to reports of substandard ingredients, including animal fat, being used in the preparation of Tirupati Laddu Prasadam. He called it a “grave crime” and an “unforgivable conspiracy” against devotees and their religious sentiments.
Bansal also demanded a high-level judicial inquiry into the matter, saying that stringent action should be taken against those responsible.
“This is a grave crime and an unforgivable conspiracy committed in our religious places. There cannot be a bigger crime than this in the world. Devotees with religious sentiments have not only been let down, but their faith has also been tarnished after the prasadam offered to them was found adulterated with beef,” Bansal said. (ANI)
